Society
- All employees at the company’s headquarters are from the broader region of Thrace, one of the areas with the lowest income levels in Europe and facing significant demographic challenges. Our factory also employs members of the local Muslim minority.
- Through our award-winning contract farming program, we support small local producers by securing the purchase of their soft wheat harvest.
- We consistently support those in need, focusing on the Thrace region. We offer free flour and provide financial assistance to the Holy Metropolis of Alexandroupolis and other religious institutions, as well as to kindergartens, charitable associations, child protection foundations, social grocery stores, and more.
- We support organizations that promote cultural heritage and tradition, such as the Ethnological and Folklore Museum of Alexandroupolis and the Historical Museum of Alexandroupolis.
- We implement educational programs with schools in the Evros region, including student visits to our factory.

Contract Farming
In 2011, in collaboration with Democritus University, we launched an innovative contract farming program in the wheat fields of Thrace. The aim was to guide local farmers in cultivating high-quality, high-yield soft wheat.
This program, which incorporates the principles of sustainable agriculture, has received multiple awards and continues successfully with local Greek farmers to this day.
It was the first time contract farming was implemented for soft wheat in Greece, and the first time a university, industry, and producers collaborated in such an integrated way. This initiative allows us to produce premium, 100% Greek specialty flours with high added value, strengthening our bonds with the land and people of Thrace.
Awards
Our company has been recognized for its contract farming program at the Bravo Sustainability Awards, receiving:
- the “Bravo Environment” Award in 2015,
- the “Bravo Environment” and “Bravo Society” Awards in 2017,
- the “Bravo in Action” Award in 2018,
- and the “Bravo Environment” Award again in 2019.
At the 2021 Bravo Sustainability Awards, our company was also recognized among major companies for its contribution to Covid-19 response initiatives, supporting the healthcare system and vulnerable groups.
In 2019, we received the Sustainable Business Award from the Evros Chamber of Commerce. In 2022, we were awarded the Platinum Award at the Business Review’s “Centennial Brands” ceremony.

In 2024, we were once again distinguished at the Bravo Sustainability Dialogue & Awards, under the Society pillar and the “Quality of Life – Strengthening Local Communities” theme. Additionally, we received a Special Award for our “Stakeholders Engagement” efforts through our value chain as part of the Bravo Sustainability Dialogue & Awards 2024.
Finally, our company is certified under the ELLADIKA MAS – Ethos Platinum Corporate Social Responsibility system.
